First aid

Our first aid courses are approved by the Danish First Aid Council and are based on the new educational structure starting from 2016. First aid training can be composed of one or more first aid modules. Each first aid module has its own particular purpose and corresponding content.
BASIC TRAINING COURSES
The basic training courses teach participants the fundamentals of first aid and how to handle situations such as cardiac arrest or accidents. The basic training courses include the following options:

ELECTIVE TRAINING COURSES
Each of the elective training courses revolves around a specific set of first aid skills. The Danish First Aid Council recommends that participants interested in completing an elective first aid training course should first complete at least one basic first aid training course. The elective training courses include the following options:

SPECIALIST TRAINING PROGRAMS
The specialist training programs are the Danish First Aid Council’s recommended course packages for specific subject/target groups. Specialist training programs are comprised of basic courses, relevant elective courses and in a few cases, special courses. The specialist training programs include the following options:

REFRESHER COURSES
Refresher courses update and maintain participants’ first aid training and knowledge. Refresher courses are intended to update and maintain participants’ first aid training and knowledge. Only the basic training courses ‘First aid for cardiac arrest’ and ‘First aid for accidents’ can be refreshed.

The Danish First Aid Council recommends that one attends an optional refresher course at least every 24 months, and that the ‘First aid refresher for cardiac arrest’ course is completed at least 48 months before the initial basic training course was completed. The refresher courses include the following options:
