Who are we?
About RESC
Knowledge, advice, and training in prevention and safety
Here at this location, there has always been a tradition of looking ahead and adapting to developments. The old whitewashed farm buildings were once home to the Civil Defense and were later followed by a fire school in the 1980s. Subsequently, it evolved into a rescue school specializing in maritime operations; however, after the establishment of the fixed link over the Great Belt, ferries disappeared. Consequently, the rescue school had to find a new foundation.
Knowledge, advice, and training in prevention and safety have now become our qualified focus. We provide education for traditional emergency services and fire departments, as well as for sectors such as transportation, offshore operations, maritime activities, wind energy, telecommunications, and of course for private individuals. We boast Denmark’s only practice tunnel measuring 95 meters where we can train everything from fire and rescue operations to managing safe behavior for railway operators—in realistic environments.
Our instructors possess practical experience from real-life rescue missions which allows them to equip our trainees with essential knowledge and relevant competencies to handle any conceivable challenges.
Located in Korsør on Zealand near the motorway, RESC serves as a knowledge center offering a diverse array of unique facilities that align with real-world conditions. Our specialized training areas combined with our extensive expertise in behavioral and safety courses prepare participants to prevent and manage critical and high-risk situations.
