Harness
Purpose
The course enables participants to use fall protection equipment when performing tasks at heights. Participants will gain knowledge of standards and regulations, fall theory, load theory, and risk assessment so that they can ensure their own and others’ safety when using fall protection equipment.
Additionally, participants will be equipped to inspect and maintain the equipment, as well as to adjust and fit their personal fall protection equipment. They will also gain competence in using passive safety methods during entry, movement, and return.
Target audience
The target group for Basic Harness includes employees in the construction and civil engineering industry, personnel employed in rescue services, employees in the offshore industry, and individuals who have or wish to obtain employment in the scaffolding sector.
Objectives
After completing the course, participants will have knowledge of and be able to:
- Understand fall theory.
- Carry out planned work at heights in accordance with applicable AT requirements for fall protection.
- Operate and maintain various protective equipment according to current requirements and standards.
- Competently assemble fall protection equipment correctly.

Duration
1 day
Assessment
Ongoing assessment through questioning techniques in the theory section. Participants must complete all exercises with satisfactory results. We issue a certificate upon completion of the training.
Notes
Maximum personal weight, including work clothing, is 136 kg, according to equipment specifications.
