GWO Wind Limited Access (WLA) Onshore/Offshore
Purpose
This course is designed to provide participants who occasionally visit wind turbines with the knowledge and skills needed to act safely and understand the correct preventive measures within the wind turbine industry.
In general, the course gives participants basic knowledge and skills that enable them to move safely within the wind turbine industry.
Target Audience
This course meets the requirements for individuals who occasionally need to observe work in wind turbines, visit wind turbines, or engage in activities where no actual tasks on the installation are performed.
Catering
Duration
WLA is divided into Onshore and Offshore. To take the Offshore course, you must already have completed the Onshore course. Both courses are half-day sessions and are held on the same day.
Assessment
Ongoing assessment through questioning during the theory part. Participants must successfully complete all exercises, which are documented in a Performance Assessment Form.
We issue certificates upon completion of training and report them to WINDA.
Notes
- Before attending, participants must be registered in WINDA’s database.
- This basic safety training includes physical demands and can be potentially stressful. Therefore, all participants must be healthy and fit to complete the entire program.
- Participation requires filling out a valid health declaration according to GWO guidelines.
- This course applies both for initial certification and refresher training.
- The maximum personal weight including work clothing is 136 kg, according to equipment specifications.
