Confined Space
– 2 days

Purpose
The participant will acquire skills to operate in confined spaces, including planning, risk assessment, evacuation, and colleague rescue in high-risk environments. This includes work conducted or potentially conducted using escape routes, smoke diving equipment, diving apparatus, or fresh air supply systems such as airline breathing apparatus.
This training covers evacuation or rescue of colleagues using harnesses or stretchers, employing techniques involving four-legged supports, rope winches, safety lines, or fall arrest blocks. Participants must be able to select appropriate equipment for lowering and hoisting operations, use it correctly, and provide first aid.
Participants will also gain proficiency in the use of detection equipment, ventilation systems, full respiratory protection gear, escape devices, smoke diving apparatus, and airline-supplied breathing apparatus.
