STCW A-VI/1-4
– Personal Safety and Care for Human Life and the Environment

Purpose

This training meets the requirements set by the Danish Maritime Authority for education in Personal Safety and Care for Human Life and the Environment. The course is approved by the Maritime Authority and complies with the standards of the STCW Convention.

Target Audience

Seafarers employed on vessels who undertake operational tasks on board as part of the crew.

Duration

1 day

Assessment

Ongoing assessment through questioning techniques during the theoretical part. Participants must complete all exercises satisfactorily. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of training, which will also be reported to the Maritime Authority.

Notes

  • The training is quality assured according to the requirements set by the Maritime Authority.
  • This training fulfills part of the requirements for Basic Training in Maritime Safety as outlined in Section VI/1, Paragraph 2, Tables A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-3, and A-VI/1-4 of the STCW Convention’s A Code.
  • Participants are required to bring valid health documentation in the form of a seafarer’s book (maximum 2 years old examination) or a medical certificate from a maritime physician (maximum 2 years old).
  • Instruction can be conducted in both Danish and English.
