Basic Height Rescue
and Evacuation
Purpose
This course enables participants to develop a plan for evacuating a colleague secured by fall protection so that swift and safe rescue efforts can be initiated in case of a fall from heights.
Participants will learn how to carry out evacuations and initiate rescues for colleagues suspended by harnesses or stretchers using lowering and hauling techniques. They will also select appropriate height rescue equipment and use it correctly while providing first aid as needed.
Participants will gain familiarity with occupational safety guidelines related to this field as well as EN standards for CE marking on utilized materials.

Objectives
- Understand fall protection principles and fall theory.
- Develop an evacuation plan.
- Execute planned work at heights according to current occupational safety requirements regarding fall protection.
- Operate and maintain various protective equipment following established regulations and standards.
- Conduct their own evacuation.
- Carry out evacuations and initiate rescues for colleagues suspended by harnesses or stretchers using techniques such as lowering or hauling.
- Select suitable height rescue equipment, utilize it correctly, and provide first aid.

Assessment
Ongoing evaluation through questioning techniques during the theoretical portion of the training program. Participants must successfully complete all exercises to obtain certification upon conclusion of the training.
