First Aid
Cardiac Arrest 4 hour
Purpose
The participant will be able to act according to the four main principles of first aid in relation to cardiac arrest. The participant will be capable of providing basic life support to an unconscious adult who is not breathing normally, both with and without the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Target Audience
The target audience for First Aid is anyone aged 18 or older.
Objectives
Upon completion of the course, participants will possess knowledge and skills in:
- The four main principles of first aid
- Levels of consciousness
- The ABC method
- Recovery position/side positioning
- The chain of survival
- Basic life support
- Selecting appropriate rescue equipment, utilizing it correctly, and administering first aid.
Catering
Duration
Half a day.
Assessment
Ongoing assessment through questioning techniques during the theory portion. Participants must complete all practical exercises satisfactorily.
A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the training.

The Danish First Aid Council (DFR) recommends updating this training within 24 months.
