Course Overview

Purpose

The purpose of GWO BST is to make sure that everyone working in the wind turbine sector has the required safety and first aid skills to work safely and effectively.

The training is designed to minimize risks and promote safe working practices.

Target Audience

These courses are intended for anyone working or wishing to work in the wind turbine industry, both onshore and offshore.

This includes technicians, assemblers, inspectors, and other professionals involved in installation, operation, and maintenance of wind turbines.

Course lengths vary depending on the module:

  • First Aid: 1 day
  • Working at Heights: 1 day
  • Manual Handling: 1 day
  • Fire Awareness: 1 day
  • Sea Survival: 1 day
  • Refresher Courses: half a day
  • Wind Limited Access Offshore: half a day
  • Wind Limited Access Onshore: half a day

Certification

All courses conclude with practical and theoretical assessments. Upon passing, participants receive a GWO certificate valid for two years.
